Racing Categories There are two main categories for teams to race in: Paddle for Fun or Paddle for Gold. Paddle for Fun is best for teams who are new to Dragon Boating, or prefer to enjoy a day of paddling for the fun of it, without the pressure to win. Paddle for Gold is the best category for experienced Dragon Boat Teams, Club teams, and those teams that thrive on a more competitive challenge race. Be sure to designate your preferred category. Prizes, fun, team spirit building, and competition will be enjoyed by everyone no matter which category you choose. The team's best time is posted in each selected category, Paddle for Fun and Paddle for Gold. The top three times are awarded.
